About the Client

Lilydale Doctors, led by Dr. Binay, is a well-established medical practice in Lilydale. Following years of continued growth, the clinic expanded into the former bike shop next door, requiring a complete transformation into a modern and compliant healthcare facility.

Project Overview

Objective: Convert a two-storey retail tenancy into a light-filled, functional clinic that supports privacy, efficiency, and patient comfort.

Outcome: A 20-room medical fitout delivered on time, compliant with healthcare regulations, and built to last.

Scope of Work

Minor internal demolition
Construction of 20 consultation rooms across two levels
New reception and waiting area
Installation of acoustic insulation and soundcheck plasterboard
Supply and installation of glass doors with frosting for rooms lacking external windows
High-quality finishes for a professional, light-filled clinic environment

Challenges & Solutions

1. Privacy & Acoustics

Challenge: Medical consultation rooms required strict acoustic privacy.

Solution: We installed solid soundcheck plasterboard and high-grade acoustic insulation throughout the tenancy to minimise sound transfer and create quiet, private spaces.

2. Natural Light for Internal Rooms

Challenge: Some consultation rooms had no external windows.

Solution: Glass doors with privacy frosting were installed, allowing natural light to filter through while maintaining confidentiality.
